I'm on a Boat...

…everybody look at me. Well I was on a boat, but I hope no one was looking at me and my terrible dancing.

Yesterday was the day of Skype.   That is literally all I did all day long.  I love talking to everyone, but it was tough being cooped up in a room when London awaits!

Fortunately, Regent’s sponsored a boat party last night, so I finally got out of Room 217!  Interestingly enough, the boat left from the exact same spot by Big Ben and the London Eye that we had been the night before.  Can’t complain too much about more Big Ben pictures!

We took three chartered buses from Regent’s and went to the dock where about 200 kids piled onto a party boat.  It was crowded, but super fun.  The cruise took us up and down the Thames.  We saw everything from pictures of Olympians being projected on Parliament to St. Paul’s Cathedral! We passed the Olympic Stadium like three times.  I was loving it.

Parliament, terrible picture, but there were lots of things working against me!

Olympic Stadium from the Thames!

It was great to be able to hang out with all of my new study abroad friends as well!

SLU kids :)
Will, Catherine, Shyama!

Gilmar!

Asia, Cassie, and Nate!

4 hours and some serious foot pain later, the cruise ended.  We tried to hail a taxi to get back to campus for forever and a year before one finally stopped.  First ride in a black taxi, complete.  I’m so glad I went, but my wallet would beg to differ.  Oh well, you only London once :)
